Homemade Jalapeño Hot Sauce with Roasted Red Bell Pepper

This jalapeño hot sauce is the perfect accompaniment to your favorite dishes. It adds a subtle tang and sweetness with a punch of spice. Serve it with meat, eggs, rice, or pasta, and even drizzled on your pizza. If you like a spicy sauce with a ton of flavour, this roasted red bell pepper and jalapeño sauce is perfect for you.
1cup(about 7 oz) jarred roasted red bell peppers, drained200g
½cup(about 3.5 oz) pickled jalapeños (red or green), drained100g
⅓cuptomato paste70g
2cloves of garlic
2tspsugar
2tspapple cider vinegar (or white wine vinegar)
1tspsalt (or more)adjust to your liking
2tspcrushed chilli flakes (or more)adjust the heat to your liking
2tbspsriracha chilli sauce (optional, but recommended for flavor and heat)
Instructions
Get all your pantry ingredients out.
Peel and wash the fresh garlic cloves.
Put all the ingredients in your blender (or in a large bowl, if using the immersion blender).
1 cup (about 7 oz) jarred roasted red bell peppers, drained, ½ cup (about 3.5 oz) pickled jalapeños (red or green), drained, ⅓ cup tomato paste, 2 cloves of garlic, 2 tsp sugar, 2 tsp apple cider vinegar (or white wine vinegar), 1 tsp salt (or more), 2 tsp crushed chilli flakes (or more), 2 tbsp sriracha chilli sauce (optional, but recommended for flavor and heat)
Blend the sauce until smooth.
Adjust seasonings to your liking. For example, add extra salt if needed, or extra crushed chilli flakes to adjust the heat level.
Serve with your desired meals.
Notes
Store in the refrigerator for up to a week in an airtight container or glass bottle.Freeze it for up to 3 months and thaw it in the refrigerator before using.
You can replace picked jalapeños with pickled red cilli peppers.
